Flip or Fail is a simple physics game with one job: get your character into the air, pull off a few flips, and land on their feet. Sounds easy. It isn't.
You launch a ragdoll gymnast from different platforms, spin through the air, and aim for the landing area. Get the timing right and you move on. Get it wrong and your character hits the ground in a way that makes you question why you tried that particular flip in the first place.
The controls don't take long to figure out. Charge your jump, launch the character, then control the rotation while you're in the air.
The tricky part is knowing when to stop flipping. Start the rotation too late and you won't get around. Keep spinning for too long and you'll come down sideways. Neither one is particularly useful.
Your main goal is to land upright inside the marked area. Once the levels get harder, you'll need to pay more attention to the jump height, rotation speed, and landing angle.
There is more here than repeating the same jump over and over.
If you like physics games where a tiny timing mistake can ruin an otherwise good run, Flip or Fail is an easy game to get into. The controls are straightforward, but the landings take practice.
It works especially well as a quick browser game. You can play a few levels, mess up spectacularly, try again, and keep going until that annoying landing finally works.
